Wang Sheng attempts to start a new life in Wuyou City, a place where many fugitives can stay but with strict rules set by the Lord - no fighting in the inner city and no killing in the outer city. Despite these rules, the fugitives still establish their own hierarchy and engage in activities such as taking bounty jobs.

Wang starts a cooking business with modern cuisine, but finds that enforcing rules among fugitives leads to chaos in the city. The situation is resolved when the Eunuch serving the Lord steps in to restore order. However, the five families from season 1 persist in their attempts to kill Wang, with the Dai family being the biggest threat. To protect Wang, the Lord orders the Eunuch to act as his bodyguard after a failed assassination attempt. The characters have grown and evolved, as has the romantic plotline, adding depth to our main character's story.
